Central Sabine Fire
BURN BAN IN EFFECT PARISHWIDE
Welcome to the Official Website of Central Sabine Fire
Central Sabine Fire Department is a combination department consisting of volunteers and part time firefighters. Our department provides public education, fire suppression, rescue, hazmat, EMS, and dive services to the residents of Wards 3 and 4 of Sabine Parish. Central Sabine Fire has 13 fire stations located within the district. Our department is neighbored by North Sabine Fire, South Sabine Fire, and Natchitoches Parish Fire District 7. Our department works closely with our neighboring agencies and is always ready to provide mutual aid when requested. Central Sabine Fire also works with the Sabine Parish Sheriff's Office, MedExpress Ambulance Service, Air Evac, Life Air Rescue, and the Louisiana State Fire Marshal's Office.
Station 10, located in Many, is staffed with two firefighters working 24 hour shifts. This has allowed the department to increase its response times for calls during an emergency. Our department runs over 1,000 calls per year. The department relies heavily on the volunteers from the community to operate and encourages residents that are interested to apply.
The Board of Directors for Fire District 1 Wards 3 & 4 holds their monthly meeting on the second Tuesday of each month. The meeting is held in the classroom of Central Station at 7 p.m. This is an open meeting and residents are encouraged to join.
We are proud to announce that our department has been rated as a Class 5 department by the Property Insurance Association of Louisiana.
